Membership Process for Prospective Members

The Club’s Membership procedures and requirements include: sponsorship letters from three active members, a completed application (Nominee Profile), a social interview with the Membership Committee, and approval by the Board.

A completed Nominee Profile must be submitted with a check for 10% of the initiation fee corresponding to the appropriate category of membership. The deposit will be applied to the initiation fee for those Prospective Members who receive an invitation to join and elect to do so. Prospective Members who do not join the Club for any reason will forfeit their deposit. All nominee and sponsor papers must reach the Club on or before the last working day of the month in order to be posted on the first day of the succeeding month.

Once the nominee has been posted, she will be invited to a social interview with the Membership Committee. The Membership Committee meets once each month, typically the third Tuesday. Interviews take place at 6:30 - 7:15pm in the evening. The Membership Committee reviews each nominee’s profile and interviews the nominee before voting on acceptance of the nominee.

APPROVAL
The Board of Directors reviews the Membership Committee’s recommendations and comments from the Membership-at-large on all nominees advanced for approval. A favorable vote of the Board of Directors is required to extend an invitation to become a Member. The Board meets once a month, typically the fourth Tuesday of each calendar month. The nominee will be notified of the Board’s decision.

ACTIVATION
Nominees approved for membership have thirty (30) days from date of notification of approval in which to activate her membership by meeting with the Membership Director to pay the balance of her initiation fee and complete the required paperwork. If she cannot meet with the Membership Director within the 30 day period, she must contact the Membership Director and arrange to send in the balance of her initiation fee and complete the application process electronically.

Membership privileges become effective after paperwork is signed and balance completed. Your sponsored Member will receive their membership number, access to the private members only website, and a front door access key card with their New Member Orientation.
